We have all heard that one dog year is the equivalent to seven human years, but what about cats?  Cats develop quite quickly when they are young.  In fact, a one year old kitten is the equivalent to a fifteen year old human.  The aging process then slows considerably, as a four year old cat is equivalent to a 32 year old human.  The aging and life span of a cat then varies considerably depending on lifestyle, breed, diet, exercise, and veterinary care.
